Google Analytics - intro

I am working on the web for more than 11 years. Trough the time I've seen lot of scripts and software for analyzing visitors. Most of this products are giving data like page hits and visitors data, some of them are drawing charts, but very few of them are giving conclusions and are easily to cheat, what makes them not reliable. I own web server, running apache and I use webalizer for analyzing web logs made by the server. I was wondering which is more accurate, google analytics or my web server? After several weeks of comparing google analytics and webalaizer analytics, I still can't decide what to use. To be honest, google analytics is more fancy, providing more data like returning users for example, depth of visit, connection type?! etc. All of data Google Analytics process is gathered trough script provide by google analytics and placed on your page(s). I am wondering what happens with all of those users who visits your site and have set their browsers to block Google scripts? Where do they go? Is Google aware of them? Does google know how many are they? I guess no, but my web server is fully awear of every single hit, logs it and webalizer is doing the rest of processing. Further more, I can process error_log, to see what were visitors trying to do or see on my mysite. Google analytics simple can't do this. Maybe it will be good moving ahead if google have access to my weblogs and anlyze them, but in that case their cookie based analytics are not possible. Maybe if they use both, thier script and weblogs we can expect very good results and analytics.
So if you can use both of these services it will be very good advantage for you. But, not evry one have chance to access weblogs and google analytics at same time.
Anyway, I can recommend Google analytics as one very powerful tool for webmaster and companies, especially if using campaigns, adwords and so on. In my article I will tell you lot more about this service. This small intro is just for beginning.

For Cheaters

Can you cheat google?
Technically speaking yes.
Real speaking NO. Don't even try to cheat on google.
First of all, all of you who think you can do something like this, simple you can't. Maybe you will manage to do few clicks around, but that would be all you have done. If you are searching web for that kind of information you will not find it.
There lot of possible ways to think you can do this, for example surfing through proxy, using fakezilla, using torpack or similar, but the bottom line is forget all of those "promising clicks and traffics". Later you will find out why. Here I will mention that one simple look at google analytics will tel you that sooner or later, they will discover your cheat and you will lose everything you have done. Not to mention hours spent on the net.

Let's start

Ok dudes, I am starting this blog because more the four weeks I am surfing arround to find good guide for all Google services. Believe or not, only few of sites I visited had some good info about Google services, especially about AdSense, I was most interested in.

First, all of you who think that you can become millionaire over night, don't bother here, lease go and spend your time on scam sites claiming that. Who ever ask for money about telling you the secret about making huge amounts of money forget them. Why? from one very simple reason. Let's say you know the secret, and it's good reason to believe that you have take advantage of that and you are already millionaire. Would you still be on internet selling your secret for 17$ or 47$, or you will be on some exotic place spending your fortune? Even if you still want to be on the internet, and telling your secret, you would be doing that for free, not asking for some bucks. Further more, I haven't met anyone of these millionaires showing their website wit adsense on it.

Very good place to find lot of real advices on AdSense is Adsense itself. You can start here.
And REAL success stories can be found here
That' enough for now.
